Why we built The Wild Blueprint

This did not start with a website

We have always been a family that feels most at home outdoors. In the Czech Republic, that love became Breakout, our locally made sustainable clothing brand. We built outdoor clothing from exceptional materials and designed it to last for years. Fewer, better things for people who cared about nature as much as we did.

Then we moved our family to Penang, Malaysia. Nature stopped being somewhere we escaped to and became the world around us: rainforest after rain, reef life beneath the surface, and wildlife adapting to a fast-changing island.

Living this close to such extraordinary nature changed something. Making more responsible products no longer felt like enough. We wanted to bring together everything our lives had taught us - building responsible products, solving technical problems, telling stories, and making films - and use it to help nature more directly.

The Wild Blueprint is our next step: a growing library that decodes nature's proven designs and preserves what they can teach us.

Nature already solved it

Shark denticles influence flow at the body's surface. A kingfisher slips from air into water with barely a splash. Termite mounds manage heat and gas exchange through structure and airflow. Every organism carries solutions tested by life itself.

Each Blueprint takes one of those living designs, reveals how it works, and translates its principle into something people can understand, use, and build upon. Every important claim is sourced. The library preserves the knowledge. Films, field stories, and education carry it into the world.

Every extinction is a deleted patent

Learning from nature while allowing its source to disappear would miss the point. When a species vanishes, we lose not only a living being, but answers we may never have learned to read.

Our ambition is to turn wonder into knowledge, knowledge into respect, and respect into real protection - bringing attention, people, and eventually resources back to the living systems that inspired it all.

Human judgment, verified facts

AI helps us research and build the library, but it does not decide what deserves to be said. We keep the work human, and every load-bearing claim is checked before publication. When the famous version of a story is wrong, we say so. See how we verify.
